Some of these Spanish guys have hardly started their careers and already are European and World champions.
Fabulous youth system .

Argentina are probably near the end of a successful cycle . They made the final through sheer will power desire and a reliance on a fading superstar. Pretty similar to 1990 when they also made the final in defense of their title only losing via a penalty v West Germany due to sheer will power desire and the reliance on a fading superstar.

Spain are now two times champions without scoring a goal in the regulation time on both occasions.

Only let in one goal all tournament.
Very impressive.
Right result in the end .
Spain certainly the team attacking and looking to score against a physical defensive Argentina.

What is even more impressive, Spain are now on a record run of 38 consecutive games without a defeat in competitive international football! And counting...

Can't decide if Spain are great to watch or irritating. Their conversion rate from chances created is truly shocking like a world class boxer with no knock out punch. Strangely the player most suited to Spain style of play is Messi who would have bagged a hat trick at least in a red shirt.

Funny how Mr.President was finding it hard to leave the stage full of celebrating Spaniards last night when he saw this big object made of gold in their hands... Luckily he was first gently pushed to the side by Rodri and then escorted off the stage by Infantino.
Just realized he did exactly the same when Chelsea were celebrating their win in the Club World Cup in the US last year.
Truly embarassing. Set aside the general savoir-vivre rules, this guy had most recently insulted the whole Spanish nation and now thought he would be the centerpiece of celebration of their national success?
Reminds me of this old joke: What is the most ultimate cheek ever? Sh..t on someone's doormat, ring the door bell and politely ask for toilet paper.

In memory of our iconic coach from the 70s Kazimierz Górski.

Górski once took part in a popular comedy series known for funny abstract sketches in the 1990s. He had his 'Book of Polish proverbs' corner there.
