A few interesting facts...
As many as 9 players: Unai Simon, Remiro, Le Normand, Laporte, Zubimendi, Merino, Williams, Oyarzabal and Vivian all come from the Basque Country (Le Normand and Laporte from the French side of the border; Le Normand played for French U-teams)! Oyarzabal gives Spain the title. Luis de la Fuente used to play for Athletic Bilbao in the 80s and 90s (so he must be a Basque too, born in La Rioja wine region) which probably explains his choices.
Spain beat Croatia, Italy, Germany, France and England on their way, leaving little doubt who had the best team this year. 5 wins. Poland combined for 9 wins in our whole history against these 5 national teams :)
Alcaraz supports Real Madrid.
