Can I just point one, very pedantic, point out ? The golf that starts tomorrow isn't the British Open, it is the Open Championship. The only reason I point it out is because if Scotland gain their independence ( which I don't think will happen ) then the Open will still be run by the R&A and still held in Scotland even though not in Britain.

I guess it is only known as The British Open to everyone outside of Britain.

It should only be held in Scotland anyway.

pointless putting on any more golf prediction games if people are still gonna put even par for every player and win the event.for those of you that just put the same score for each player why bother even entering ?? if the golf predictoin rules stay the same i will not be entering again i will just leave to you par par par boys to jointly win it

I think the changes a few month ago (before the US Opan) improved the situation. A 'par' prediction for all players yesterday was only the 19th best result.
Let's wait until Sunday...

I finished runner up in a golf prediction game to someone simply putting in par,that's the way it goes but don't understand why people bother entering if they are not wanting to really play the game.

I totally agree with you guys. The problem is the current format of the golf prediction. We must get away from predicting a score but rather pick say five golfers and score based on their performance or position per day. Also refer to my previous suggestions on this. I also reconsider my further participation in the current golf format. Klaus, please remember that this is not against you. You are doing great work in presenting this site to us. The current golf format is just not working.

Don't want to brag or anything but anyone that follows my Twitter will know that I tipped Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler for the Open. Not bad!

My other tip was my favourite play Matt Kuchar but hey 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
