For the fourth time in a row, a player will win both the Champions League and the European Championship in the same year. This was dug up by the football magazine 'kicker.' Jude Bellingham from England, as well as Daniel Carvajal, Nacho, and Joselu from Spain, have won the Champions League with Real Madrid. And they are now in the European Championship final with their national teams. Who achieved the double in the past four European Championships:
2012: Fernando Torres and Juan Mata, Chelsea and Spain
2016: Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid and Portugal
2021: Jorginho, Chelsea and Italy

On a related note, ref Marciniak was close to a triple crown for refereeing World Cup, Champions League and EURO final (or quadruple if you count club world championships) but he apparently fell out of favour with UEFA due some controversies in a couple of big games this season... He will take part in Sunday's grand final but only as a technical ref.
