As soon as a prediction is submitted for the first round of the Cup, a player will be randomly assigned to one of the available slots for that round. This assignment process is automated and carried out by a program that runs every 30 minutes. Since most Cup contests may not have participant numbers that are exact multiples of 16, 32, 64, 256, 512, 1024, or similar figures, some players may receive a bye in the first round of the Cup.
